This workshop is designed for those interested in learning more about the culture and wisdom of herbal medicine and remedies in the Peruvian Andes. It is an excellent opportunity to engage in conversations about local health beliefs and traditions. You’ll work side-by-side with local women and Sacred Valley Health’s staff to make an herbal preparation. At the end of the day, you’ll go home with a travel-size herbal balm or tincture. (Please note – we offer anectdoctal stories about the use of herbs in the communities. We do not give medical treatment or advice.)

We can arrange an herbal workshop as a 2-hour experience in Ollantaytambo or as a Full-day Community Excursion visiting one of our partner communies in the high Andes of Peru’s Sacred Valley! Either way, quechua-spanish-english speaking translation services are included.

We can also arrange accomodation in homestays or hotels, on-the-ground transportation, a visit to Machu Picchu, other tours/excursions, visits to other local NGOs, language classes, dance classes, cooking classes, and other cultural experiences!
