SVH can accept volunteers on a rolling basis. Typically, we are seeking professionals with experience and interest in public health, international development, or health education. Although we prefer candidates who speak fluent Spanish and can commit to at least 6 months in Peru, we will consider applicants with lower levels of Spanish if they have relevant interest, training, and are willing to dedicate longer periods of time.

We seek staff and volunteers with lots of energy, a persistently positive attitude, and a willingness to adapt in a dynamic environment. We work in diverse, resource-limited settings and work creatively to provide the highest quality health education that we can under conditions that can be challenging albeit rewarding. Our office is located in the beautiful Incan town of Ollantaytambo, nestled among the Andes Mountains in Peru’s Sacred Valley.
