Half-Day Visits to our Office in Ollantaytambo

Meet a Community Health Worker: health realities and health intervention

Get to know the health reality in Ollantaytambo and our surrounding communities. You’ll meet and speak with a community health worker from one of our high-altitude partner communities and meet our staff. Through hands-on activities, images, stories, and engaging discussion, you’ll learn about how our community health worker program addresses local health needs through a community partnered participatory approach.

Health Literacy & Education in the Sacred Valley

You’ll get to observe first-hand Sacred Valley Health’s office buzzing with life as it fills with people from high-altitude communities surrounding Ollantaytambo. You’ll get some background on our grassroots non-profit’s mission, and get to see first-hand how we train our community health workers.

(The training will be in Quechua, but don’t worry that you don’t speak the language; it’s a very visual curriculum and you’ll have a Spanish-English-speaking staff member with you at all times!) This program is available only on training days – (currently most Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
