Get to know the health reality in a high Andean community of Peru’s Sacred Valley. You’ll visit one of our community health workers in their home-town, catch a first-hand glimpse into their daily life, participate in a hands-on activity related to community life, and hear about how we are addressing local health needs with our community health worker program.
Herbal Remedies Workshop
In this one-day workshop, you’ll work side-by side with Sacred Valley Health’s local staff and/or community health workers to make an herbal balm or tincture. You’ll visit one of Sacred Valley Health’s partner communities in the high Andes of Peru’s Sacred Valley, gather medicinal plants, and hear about their uses in the community. You’ll also have a chance to converse with our local staff and/or community health workers about their beliefs, traditions, and daily reality.
